happy mother's day!

moms are the quintessential superheroes of the 21st century... and i cannot imagine where the hell i'm going to get those superpowers come july!

my mom has always been my best buddy, worst critic, and carpool-mate. since i moved a thousand miles away, i miss our constant arguments and regular breakfasts at Pancake House, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, and Dulcinea. i miss her now more than ever, especially as the reality of family life creeps in. i miss being a daughter to this Wonder Woman, and am proud to say that i am who i am now because of her.
