Aldo and I are trying to finalize dates for our November trip to Manila. Decided to check (thru weddings@work of course!) if there will be, by some bizaare miracle, a Discovery Weekend or Catholic Engaged Encounter between Nov. 20 to Dec. 2. Lo and behold -- there's a Catholic Engaged Encounter on Nov. 26-28! I've e-mailed the organizer and they promptly replied with a registration form.
I can't wait til November! The last time Aldo and I were in an encounter/recollection/retreat of some sort was when we met 7 years ago in BLD!
Weddings are really effective nostalgia triggers.
I must admit, it feels weird to see Duke's wedding photos and realize that it's been nearly 10 years since our rollercoaster ride started.
A lot has happened since we said our goodbyes to our tree stump lunch spot in high school, and the old AS 101 tambayan in college where we had countless birthday surprises and debut planning sessions (and boyfriend stories too). Here's to another wedding in the high school barkada -- congratulations and best wishes Xavier & Duke!

Didn't you just love Laws of Attraction?
Anne, Owen, Steve, Pris, and I watched it last night. I feel bad for Steve -- he was right in the middle of 4 swooning girls.
My favorite line:
Audrey: You better not leave me.
Daniel: Never.
*sigh*
I loved the part where Daniel says that marriages are about working things out and not giving up.
I couldn't agree more.
Been toying with the idea of a brunch wedding for a while now. I know most of my friends will kill me for it, but I do promise to not get the 7:30AM slot in church.
Since I love mornings, waffles (and maple syrup) and bacon, and good coffee, brunch would probably fit the bill. And I'm sure as long as there's something chocolate in the menu, Aldo won't mind.
Brunch Wedding Basics from Modern Bride:
What is a brunch reception?
Convivial and informal, a wedding brunch is celebrated by a late breakfast or early lunch. A brunch is best suited for a wedding of not more than 100 guests—otherwise it’s hard to keep it feeling relaxed. While there are no definitive rules, a brunch usually starts between 11 a.m. and noon. (Keep in mind, your ceremony would need to be held about an hour before.) Announce that it’s a brunch on your invitation. Guests will realize they are being invited to a cool and casual wedding—no formal dress required and no etiquette police in attendance.

Perfect! Maybe I should serve yoghurt drinks instead of wine!
