amori's bag of tricks
where to start, where to start. the trees are turning red and the skies are getting gray. it's getting chilly, and we've had to turn the heater on tonight... forget milking the last days of summer - our fleece jackets are out!
amori is such an entertainer these days. i am in awe of how much of a sponge she is. after only a few days of the same toothbrushing routine, she now knows that the next step after getting the toothbrush and putting some toothpaste is turning on the tap. the first time she turned on the tap for me i was totally stunned.
then there's knowing that i've got food in the car whenever she hears plastic being crinkled. she recognizes the sound and goes "num... num... num" - much like the seagulls in Finding Nemo - and reaches out from her car seat. LOL.
there was this one time too that she stole a muffin from my bag. she was rummaging thru my lunch bag and before i knew it, she was walking out of the kitchen with a muffin in her hand... she knew that she had to take it out from the bag too.
and the latest trick we have on our list is raising her hand and saying "ME!" whenever i ask "who's a pretty girl?". hehehe.
of course it also goes without saying that i am chasing her around most of the time. i've said goodbye to walking aimlessly around the mall - i now have 15 minutes tops to get what i need. any more time after that and amori starts climbing out of her stroller - out of the 5-point harness and all.
she's growing into such a fearless and brave little girl that it's almost scary. she's one of those little kids that end up getting lost in the mall because they simply do not look back at their trailing parents. so it's a really good thing that online shopping is an option here. LOL.
i wish i could really keep memories in bottles... i would probably have a rack of them by now.
