amori's 12 days of christmas

amori's been watching this Barney Christmas DVD for almost a month now and last Christmas Eve, we were shocked that she had memorized all the actions to The 12 Days of Christmas! there's also a part where the little girl in it signs Joy To The World.. everytime that part plays, Amori "signs" along with her (although mostly Amori looks like she's flapping her arms in a random way but heck, she's a bright girl to me!).

(but she does know how to sign though - even if it's only to say "more" when she's eating. LOL. i taught her how to sign it for one full day - when Maya was around for a play date - and she started using it since then. the rate of how they learn is awesome!).

our pop princess

she's taken a liking to music, and we've encouraged it further by enrolling her into a weekly music class for toddlers. it's so much fun watching her enjoy all the activities in class.

(i secretly think that she will be a teacher's pet in the future - she always "helps" the teacher distribute or put back instruments from/to the bin! she also isn't shy - she laughs out loud, shouts in appreciation, and dances!)

oh and she loves the Bee Gees! aldo put on a Bee Gees concert DVD and amori started dancing and clapping her hands! who needs Hi-5 or Barney when the Bee Gees are around! LOL.

let it snow!

december started off in a very winter way this year.

the snowfall was great although it did catch me off-guard... i hadn't gotten amori's winter gear ready yet and it was already snowing - yikes! so off to the mall we went, and grabbed all the winter stuff in her size. this time, it was shopping guy-style... a.k.a. no dilly-dallying, walk in the store, find her size, and off to the cashier.

amori played in the snow for the very first time, and she wasn't too keen about it at first. she did appreciate it from our apartment window though, as she kept on saying "snooooowwww" over and over again while looking outside. but when we brought her out, she was hesitant in walking on the snow-covered ground. (if you were wearing snow boots for the very first time, you would find walking a bit of a challenge too!).

she didn't want to wear gloves or any kind of hat despite the freezing temperature so after 20 minutes, it was time to go back inside.

oh well... it was a start. maybe next time it snows she'll be running around throwing snowballs like a pro!
